I am enjoying my break from school. I’ve been back to school shopping for my job as an administrative assistant in the Student Services office of a 7-12 school.
I’ve been on Second Life a couple of times since class got over last week, but that’s it.
Back to work after a weekend of classes. I only had two classes this term, but have just signed up for 4 classes (10 credits) for the fall trimester.
TLVW was a great class! I learned so much it’s amazing. Esme was a great teacher – motivator and great role model.
Planning for Change was a great class also. I was pretty terrified after the initial class, but I’m glad I hung in there with it. I learned an awful lot there also. Ronda was a great teacher and really got the class going on in-class assignments.
Well, I’m down to my last three days of class. Hard to believe a trimester has gone so fast! I’ve enjoyed learning Second Life and am glad to have taken the class. The final project has been a bear for people to work through. I need to do some more work on it too. I also have a presentation for my other class to finish tonight. Yikes!
Had a good day yesterday. Nice weather.

Back from a couple days away. Glad to see the sun shining today.
I got some tips from a classmate about taking pictures, which is my job for our project. I’ll start that this afternoon. I received a lot of emails about forum posts – 90 of them – so I have a lot of reading and catching up to do.
My mother-in-law’s birthday today.
Last night I met with two classmates to discuss our educational sites for Second Life. We have about 6 right now that we have agreed on. Four more to go for Sunday night. I’m psyched they liked some of the ones I presented. You never know how someone else will perceive that which you like.

I have to work in Second Life on finding educational websites. I have found two so far. Only 8 more to go from the four of us working on this project.
Had class this weekend – both Change Management and Teaching and Learning in Virtual Worlds. Both classes went well. I can’t believe only one more session left of classes, then I’m done for this first trimester. Only three weeks left timewise.
The coolest thing about today’s class in Second Life was that I learned how to surf. Virtual world only – not something I would try otherwise. It was cool and really fun.
Had a funeral for my husband’s aunt today. She was 68 and fell in the barnyard and hit her head. She died two weeks later, never having regained consciousness. So sad. Yesterday’s funeral was for Brooke Bennett, the 12 year old who was murdered from my town.
For class we are investigating educational websites that are interactive. We’ll use them for beginner to intermediate students as well as teacher. I have a meeting online tonight to see how far we’ve come. I have one so far. I have to do some research to find at least one or two more before tonight.

Not very motivated today yet. It’ll come, I’m sure. Had a good TLVW class yesterday. We learned about Sloodle. I’m still confused as to why you would use Sloodle, when you have Second Life and Moodle, but I’ve just got to ask the instructor about that.
